Legacy Fitness Club One Life, One Legacy
Overview
37-second brand film, six rounds · built before a camera rolled
Every gym in Birmingham sells a workout. Legacy has something none of them can buy: a three-time world champion who now kneels down to tie a seven-year-old's first belt.
So the film opens on a gold world title in a cabinet and ends on a yellow beginner's belt being pulled tight. Everything between those two frames is the distance a legacy travels.
The challenge
A 37-second brand film for a club whose existing reel was shot on a phone under full overhead light, making a genuinely cinematic space — rows of branded bags, white brick, a long symmetrical aisle — look like any gym anywhere. The story also involved children, which ruled out using real members before a shoot was even agreed.
What we did
Brand and competitor read, creative concept and treatment, then six rounds previsualised end to end — one continuous camera move per shot, motivated lighting built from fixtures that already exist in the room, sound design, voiceover and typography timed to the frame. The words build a single sentence across the six shots, and the club's teal comes only from the neon on their own wall, never from a grade. Delivered as a 4K film with a written brief covering the visual and typography direction, the sound approach and the one-day shoot plan behind it.
